La Coopérative de solidarité Abondance Urbaine Solidaire (CAUS) is a social hub that facilitates Montrealers’ access to healthy and local food through urban agriculture, education and the circular economy, while strengthening human connections and sharing. 🌱
As a non-profit solidarity cooperative, our company is run democratically and jointly by different groups with common interests and goals. Join us to help determine the future of our movement.
All of our projects contribute to climate change mitigation, while providing multiple local benefits and strengthening the resilience of communities. We provide members and citizens with quality local products and services and help them grow their own food year-round. We invite members, citizens and organizations to reduce their waste.
Membership
CAUS is a non-profit solidarity cooperative with three types of members:
- consumers, who hold one (1) share in the company
- producers, who hold fifty (50) shares in the company
- workers, who hold a hundred (100) shares in the company
Members pay the fees associated with their share(s) when they join CAUS. Producers and workers can pay 10% of this amount upon joining, committing to pay another 10% each subsequent year until the qualifying shares are fully paid.
Consumer Member
Become a consumer member to access a wide variety of fresh, local, and artisanal products. You'll also enjoy a 10% discount on your purchases. Join us and become part of this great Montreal community.
Producer Member
Become a producer member to showcase your products or services in our facilities. Producer members enjoy priority access and discounted rates in our rooms and at our events.
Worker Member
Become a worker member to participate directly in our projects. Worker members enjoy all the benefits of other members plus the right to a free table at our events.
