General Store Volunteer

During our opening hours from 3 until 7 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays

With all the tasks to accomplish, our general store needs some love.
Tasks
- Wash and sanitize surfaces (Wednesday between 5 and 7 p.m. after the food bank and Sunday between 3 and 5 p.m.)
- Take out the garbage Monday night a 7 p.m.
- Put our garbage bins in the back yard on Thurdays before 3 p.m.
- Wash our tablecloths for the food bank (pick them up Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. and bring them back by Tuesday at 7 p.m.)
- Wash our floors (daily)
- Wash our washrooms (every day)
- Help during activities
- Help take inventory
- Help to promote the project

Volunteer at the Group Buy Distributions

Description
This project needs at least 24 volunteers
Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
- Receive deliveries
- Install tables
- Set up products and set up "clean" and "pick up" sections on the tables
- Clean and sanitize all the tools
Saturday, shift 1 : 8 a.m. until noon
- Weight and serve out portions ordered by clients
Saturday, shift 2: noon until 4 p.m.
- Weight and serve out portions ordered by clients
- Package remaining products
- Wash tables and tools
Saturday, shift 3: 2 until 6 p.m.
- Wash tables and floor

Volunteer for the Food Bank
Location: In the community room, 6049 boul. Lasalle, Verdun, QC H4H 1M8
Wednesdays from 2 until 5 p.m.
Tasks
- Get the food from Moisson Montréal (10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.)
- Help empty the truck (12:30 until 1 p.m.)
- Help package food
- Serve food chosen by clients
- Wash and sanitize surfaces before and after the food bank
- Wash the floors
- Wash the washrooms
- Wash our tablecloths for the food bank (pick them up Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. and bring them back by Tuesday at 7 p.m.)

Volunteer for the markets
Locations: Farmers' markets take place on Wednesdays from June 17 until October 29 from 3 until 7 p.m. in the park in front of the Jacqueline-de-Repentigny Library, 5955 Bannantyne Street, Verdun H4H 1H6
The Summer Flavours markets take place on various pleasant days between July 4 and August 28 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. or from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the Verdun Beach, 4110 Boul. Lasalle, Verdun, QC H4H 2S9
Tuesdays and Thursdays markets take place from June 3 to October 30, 4 to 7 p.m., at the Parc du Souvenir, 4525 rue de Verdun, Verdun, QC H4G 3G7
Tuesdays, from June 10 until November 11 from 3:30 until 6:30 p.m. under the red roof in the Demarchais Park on Lasalle Blvd. in front of the Circus School
Thursdays from June 6 until November 14 from 4:30 until 6:30 p.m. in front of La Station, 201, rue Berlioz.
Description
The CAUS markets are an emblem of our humble beginnings. They bring together the citizens of our small section of the neighborhood. The largest market that needs help is the one in front of the bibliothèque Jacqueline-de-Repentigny every Wednesday until the end of October
Tasks
- 2 p.m.: Set up tents
- 2:30 p.m.: Help farmers and artisans set up their displays
- 3 to 7 p.m.: Help organizers manage the till
- 3 to 9 p.m.: Help organizers count market visiters
- 7 p.m.: Remove the tents

Volunteer in the gardens
About an hour a day, on days when you are available.
Description
Max's Gardens is a project honoring Max, a young man who dedicated his summers to tending several gardens in Verdun. We are in charge of two of his five gardens to continue his projects in the neighborhood.
The two gardens available are the bins in front of Mairie and the garden behind the CFP on the corner of Galt and Champlain.
Tasks
- Water the plants
- Remove weeds
- Harvest
- Inform the coordinator when tasks are completed
- Inform the coordinator when you are not available
