Proudly established in Quebec City, Maison Orphée is a 100% Quebec company run by the Bélanger sisters, Élisabeth and Élaine, who today inspire and mobilize a large family of around forty employees who are passionate about healthy and tasty food.

40 YEARS OF HISTORY… IN BRIEF
Founded by Bernard Stier in 1983, the company initially specialized in importing high-quality virgin oils. An ecologist ahead of his time, Bernard decided to acquire the very first seed press in order to produce virgin seed oil from local organic farms in Quebec City.
Purchased by Florent Bélanger in 1992, Maison Orphée has experienced very strong growth over the years, particularly when his two daughters, the Bélanger sisters, took over jointly the company in 2010. Over the years, the extraction of oils has been supplemented by the production of vinegars and mustards, then vinaigrettes and mayonnaises each incorporating their own ingredients.
Now certified as a B-Corp, Maison Orphée distributes its products to more than 3,000 retailers across Canada and positions itself as the leading Canadian producer of virgin seed oils.
