The Next Decade
Our Project
Multi-CAUS serves as a food hub promoting urban abundance and the circular economy. It includes a general store and a community meeting room. The general store provides a year-round supply of local food products in a food desert. This market allows our members to purchase fruits, vegetables and products from small Quebec agri-food businesses and local artisans. Our community hall houses a weekly food bank and allows members to offer workshops, films and classes promoting wellness.
Project Origin
This fall marks the 10th anniversary of the Abondance Urbaine Solidaire Solidarity Cooperative (CAUS), a non-profit solidarity cooperative that helps Montrealers eat locally and healthily. This year, for the first time, we had the opportunity to celebrate this milestone on the premises of our first permanent company: Multi-CAUS.
