Their story :

In 2004, Johanne Plamondon and Pierre Corriveau made a long-standing dream come true by founding La ferme au fil du vent in St-Jacques-le-Mineur.

After planting several grape varieties of vines, hazelnut trees and blueberry plants, the company can now offer a variety of products made from fruit grown on site, in an eco-responsible way.

They offer the market a tangy syrup, blueberry spreads, black walnuts and the famous Gorria peppers (known as Espelette)… not to mention Verjus, which is the pride of the farm.

This product without alcohol, maturation or fermentation comes from a pressing of three varieties of immature grapes. It can be used in almost any sauce! In addition to replacing vinegar in several recipes, it is a delicious local alternative to lemon juice (in marinades, gazpacho, risotto, desserts or cocktails, in particular). A hint of verjus will also give a very pleasant touch to a good glass of fresh or sparkling water.

"  Our estate includes gardens, alpine gardens, a vineyard, a blueberry field, an established hazelnut grove and a picnic area. Nos plantations comprennent 4000 plants de vignes et 300 plants de bleuets. "
