Solarpunk art contest

Voting date: Saturday 16th of November
Where to submit and vote: Multi-CAUS, 6049 blvd Lasalle, Verdun
Mandate Create an art piece which interprets one or multiple spaces in Verdun and one or more Solarpunk innovations.
Definition of Solarpunk for the contest An artistic movement that represents technologies and innovations that use the sun as an energy source. The goal is to reduce dependence on large sources of electricity that pollute and to give back independence to communities to support themselves.
Winner categories:
- Popular Vote: The piece that wins the most votes from community members wins that category.
- Accuracy: The piece that most closely matches the Solarpunk definition and technology wins this category.
- The CAUS Mission: The piece that most aligns with the CAUS mission by including Solarpunk technologies wins this category.
Only one piece will be chosen per category (3 winners in total.)
Prizes:
- Visit of the Pro Vert Farm
- Painting of a mural on a space managed by CAUS
- Free art exhibition for 4 hours in the CAUS multi-purpose room
Prices will be applicable in 2025
Accepted submissions: All pieces coming from the artist and their interpretation in physical format.
- Collage (photos of a building or space with additions from your creativity)
- Traditional or digital art, as long as it is printed upon submission.
- 3D printed creation
…and the rejected ones: All pieces are plagiarized, without interpretation by the artist or in virtual format
- AI images
- Just one or more pictures of the surrounding area (we want you to add to the neighborhood, not just represent it!)
- 360 photos, virtual tours, videos and other such creations. (We want to showcase your art in person, so it has to be physical.)
The completed documents will be delivered directly to Multi-CAUS.
