This week, we'll have producers with peppers and organic vegetables during our farmers' market. It takes place Wednesday, August 14 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Jacqueline-De Repentigny library 5955, avenue Bannantyne, Verdun, H4H 1H6.
Peppers differ from chili peppers in their shape, but also in the thickness of their flesh and their milder taste. The pepper changes color depending on its maturity (green pepper, yellow pepper, then red pepper). But the color also depends on the variety of this vegetable. Nutritionally, red peppers offer more interesting contributions than yellow peppers or green peppers, particularly thanks to their vitamin C content. Green peppers are also a source of vitamin K.
